Why did it move?

Thanks to its membership and general interest in the field, the PRI Makers Network grew so fast since its 2005 beginning that it needed additional staff capacity. Neighborhood Funders Group continues to be a good partner and friend to the network, and to share many of the Network’s objectives.

What is Philanthropy Northwest?

Philanthropy Northwest is an association of nearly 200 community, private and public foundations, corporations and individuals committed to thoughtful and strategic philanthropy that strengthens communities and improves the quality of life for all. Philanthropy Northwest offers technical assistance, information, consulting and networking to both established and emerging grantmaking institutions and philanthropists. With 10 staff members and 8 consultants providing services (including conferences and professional development workshops), Philanthropy Northwest will bring PRI Makers Network additional staff, expertise and resources.

How can I become a member of the PRI Makers Network?

Go to Become a Member; review the eligibility requirements and register online.

Is my membership still valid? I haven’t heard from you for awhile.

During the transition to Philanthropy Northwest, there may have been a delay in invoicing you for your renewal member dues but your membership is still valid. If you need help logging onto the website or taking advantage of members-only benefits, please let us know how we can help by writing to info@primakers.net.

When are my membership fees due? Will you invoice me?

Yes, we will send you a notice when your annual membership dues are up for renewal.

Have membership benefits changed?

No; you’ll receive the same information and access to education and networking and deals that you’ve come to expect. Look for new member benefits as PRI Makers Network settles into its new home during the Fall 2008.

Can I participate in the next PRI Institute?

If you are a member of the PRI Makers Network, you are welcome to attend. (Please note: if you are not currently a member but are member-eligible, you may become a member when you register for the Institute.) Only 30 participants may attend; Download Agenda and Registration Materials
. Candidates are accepted on space-available, first-come first-served basis.

Who should I contact if I have any questions?

Please contact Peter Berliner, Managing Director, PRI Makers Network or Carol Lewis, Executive Director, Philanthropy Northwest. If you have questions related to the PRI Makers website, please contact Peter Berliner.

To whom should I send information or an announcement to post to the website?

Please send all announcements to Peter Berliner.

Is the listserv still working?

Yes! Feel free to engage your colleagues by posting a question or announcement to e-networking@primakers.net. Or view the listserv archives.

When will PRI Makers Network have another National Conference?

The next National Conference will be held May 10 - 12, 2010, in Chicago. Please visit our conference page for details.

Do you have data on the field of PRIs and Mission Investing?

Please view Publications and Articles for a comprehensive list of articles and information about the field. PRI Makers Network will refresh the PRI Activity Database over the next few months. This database of PRI and other mission investment transactions will offer the field a great deal of knowledge about individual investment opportunities as well as trends in the field.

Looking for deals? Seeking co-investors?

PRI Makers Network added a new member benefit: The Deals Clearinghouse is a fully interactive tool for members seeking investment opportunities. View the deals posted or add a new one. The deals are sortable by program area, minimum investment, or geography served.
